One Cocktail, Two Ways - Blackberry Limoncello Martini
This the second cocktail from the last post - the Blackberry Limoncello Martini. The first was the Blackberry Limoncello Lemonade.
The martini uses most of the same ingredients as the Blackberry Limoncello Lemonade, except for the lemonade. This bright refreshing martini is great on a hot afternoon by the pool. As with most martinis, this cocktail is quite strong since almost every ingredient is alcoholic, with just a little bit of lemon juice for brightness, so it may be too strong for those who like a larger cocktail with more mix.
Fortunately, this recipe can easily be modified. If you're entertaining, and have a lot of people over, this recipe is easy to make for different tastes without having to keep too many ingredients on hand.
The cocktail menu below is from a recent cocktail party, and as you can see, it has quite a few duplicate ingredients to make hosting easier, giving you more time to spend with your guests, while still providing a variety of options.
Blackberry Limoncello Martini Ingredients
Blackberries: Sweet and fruity, blackberries pair perfectly with vodka, lemon, and orange to create this refreshing summer cocktail.
Limoncello: We always have Limoncello on hand because we use it in quite a few of recipes at home. Use whatever brand you like.
Vodka: Any vodka will do, so use your favourite.
Cointreau: This recipe uses the classic orange liqueur Cointreau, but you could easily replace it with any Triple Sec, or even Grand Marnier.
Lemon Juice: A little bit of lemon juice adds a crispness and brightness to any cocktail that makes it more refreshing.
Lemon: Add a slice of lemon to the rim of the glass for garnish.
